Four-Alarm Fire Rips Through Borough Park Matzah Bakery, Firefighter Injured

    BOROUGH PARK – A four-alarm fire tore through a matzah bakery in Brooklyn’s Borough Park neighborhood early Wednesday, injuring four people, including a firefighter who was briefly trapped after part of the building collapsed, authorities said.


    Firefighters battled heavy smoke and intense flames as the blaze spread through the commercial building, prompting a large emergency response. The injured firefighter was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while three civilians — including a child — were treated for minor injuries, officials said.

    The fire was brought under control later in the morning, and the cause remained under investigation.
