The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (http://bit.ly/1nKW5C1 ) that 57-year-old Deborah Marcarelli pleaded guilty Tuesday in Orange County Court to felony grand larceny. She admitted that she took the money about $2,000 at a time from the bank’s ATM funds between June 2011 and August 2013.
Marcarelli was the assistant branch manager in Tuxedo, where here duties included auditing and maintaining the ATM.
She has repaid about $45,000 of the money since her arrest last fall. She still owes more than $85,000.
Prosecutors say they’ll ask a judge to sentence Marcarelli to one to three years in prison.
Do these people believe they can rob a bank and not get caught?
