Washington – Sen. Lieberman: U.S. May Be Attacked In 2009

    22

Washington – In describing the reasons he believes the Republicans’ presumptive nominee for president would be better prepared than the Democrats’ to lead the nation next January, Sen. Joe Lieberman said that history shows the United States would likely face a terrorist attack in 2009.

“Our enemies will test the new president early,” Lieberman, I-Conn., told Face The Nation host Bob Schieffer. “Remember that the truck bombing of the World Trade Center happened in the first year of the Clinton administration. 9/11 happened in the first year of the Bush administration.”

Why does Liberman even call himself a democrat? He switched parties long ago. He knows that when the Dems win this fall he will be striped of his powers in the Senate. This is more republican fear tactics. 80% of the public is not buying the republican scare tactics anymore. We have nothing to fear but fear itself Joe.

Hmmm…..Does the State of Israel’s representative in the US Senate know something that no one else knows about 2009???? Smells mighty fishy……I guess the Zionists have decided to turn up the hysteria thermostat. Hey, Joe. Tell us what else you know? Did you “predict” 9/11 as well??

I am sorry one more thing I forgot to add. If Joe’s contention is correct then what does that say for what the Bush administration has done to this point to protect us. It seems to me it says the Republicans have not done a very good job then.

Everyone responsible for the first world trade center bombing has been caught and is in prison. Under Clinton. How many responsible for 9/11 are? And why hasn’t the ring Leader Osoma Bin Forgotten be caught? Because as Bush said ” I don’t think about him much anymore.

None of his political posturing matters. The United States is on the verge of economic collapse. If the Chinese and Arabs sell their US government securities, it’s OVER. They are bankrolling the war. How many wars can the society and economy take, Yossel? Do you want your constituents to pay $10 a gallon for gas and trigger a Great Depression??!

“Everyone responsible for the first world trade center bombing has been caught and is in prison. Under Clinton.”

Do you actually think that Ramzi Yusef and Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman dreamed this scheme up one night in the basement of The Sheik’s New Jersey mosque all by themselves, without any help, money, input or direction from anyone else? What aabout the people overseas, such as Khaid Sheik Muhammed (Yusef’s uncle, one of Osama’s key guys in setting up 9/11 and other terrorist strikes against us and the guy who killed Daniel Pearl)? Clinton made NO effort to get him — it was Bush’s people who did (now the liberals are all crying copious crocodile tears because we mean Americans used waterboarding on the poor baby!). The overseas conspirators who planned the first WTC attack, made it happen and helped Yusef get away and hide out all over the world for another two or three years all got away scot-free.

And OBL declared a fatwa against America early on in Clinton’s administration, openly set up training camps where Muslim jihadis were trained for terrorist assualts on America (the 9/11 murderers were all graduates of his camps) and proceeded to bomb a US Air Force barracks in Saudi Arabia, killing 19 American airmen, bomb two U.S. embassies, killing over 200 people, including some Americans and then bombed the U.S. warship Cole, killing 17 sailors. And what did Clinton and his Clique do about all of this? Bill turned down several opportunities to have OBL handed over to us on a silver platter or taken into custody or killed by our guys — after endless windy conferences with lawyers from the State, Justice and Defense departments, determined to find any excuses why NOT to act (we don’t know that it’s him, don’t know that we can charge him with, don’t know if we can prove he did it in court, what about collateral damage, how will this make us look in the eyes of the Third World, etc.) Osama took our measure as weak scared paper tigers and proceded to put the 9/11 plot into action.

You’ll notice that since then, there has been NO successful large-scale terrorist assault (like 9/11 or even any of the smaller, less elaborate and more preliminary attacks that took place under Clinton — first WTC bombing, Khobar USAF bombing, embassy bombings, Cole bombing) against America itself or our overseas personnel or facilities, thanks to the tough measures Bush took to go after al Quaeda — they instead chose easy soft targets in Europe, and thousands of their terrorists have been lured to Afghanistan and Iraq and have been killed. And KSL is in our hands, charged with war crimes and HOPEFULLY will be convicted and executed for his crimes — unless liberal lawyers and soft-hearted, soft-headed judges twist the law and bend over backawards (or maybe just bend over, period) to show how “fair” and “politically correct” we are by invoking all kinds of technicalities to get him off to kill again, thanks to the recent Supreme Court Guantanimo. ruling.

And only G-d knows how the bleeding-heart federal judges President Obama will surely appoint to the bench, like Clinton did (e.g., Ruth Bader Ginsburg, now on the Supreme Court, who was a top ACLU official before that), will further undermine and thwart our country’s efforts to defend itself against Islamofascist jihadi terrorism.

please. bush has been nothing but a screw up from day one and the silly minded people with no knowledge decide to blame it all on clinton. even the die hard neo conservatives know to admit they made an error in propping up the drunken monkey from texas to be president in 2000 instead of john mccain who they stole the nomination from for no reason otehr than to puppetmaster bushie.

bush himself in 2002 said the getting bin laden was not a priority for him and that he doesnt care.

    and so it has been.

Now the next person – be it Obama or McCain will have to clean up the mess made by the absolute worst president in American History.

Zoltan the liar wrote: “Everyone responsible for the first world trade center bombing has been caught and is in prison.” This is absolutely not true. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was only caught because Bush took the war to him. Abdul Rahman Yasin is still at large; he was released prematurely because there was not sufficient evidence to hold him (since Clinton treated this as a criminal incident instead of as an act of war), and he escaped to Saddam Hussein, who too him in and sheltered him.

As for “what the Bush administration has done to this point to protect us”, the fact that there have been no attacks on US soil or against US interests overseas since Sep-2001 is the greatest proof of how effective it’s been. Back in Oct-2001 who would have guessed that this would be the case?

Lieberman is a mainstream Democrat. He votes with the Democratic Party over 80% of the time. He is certainly not a Republican.

“Anonymouse” of 06-29-2008 – 11:34 PM claims that “bush and rice and rumsfeld ignored the memo that said in big bold letters ‘bin laden determined to strike us'”. Oh, really? They ignored it? What a liar you are. What exactly do you expect them to do about it, more than they did? What would you have done with that information, that several years earlier bin Laden had decided to strike at the USA, some time, somewhere? Bush did all anybody could have with that information, which wasn’t very much.

“Anonymouse” reminds us that Bush said in 2002 that catching bin Laden was no longer a priority. Of course it wasn’t, and it isn’t. Do you think it should be? What for? He’s probably long dead, but even if he isn’t then he’s hiding in a cave somewhere, and no longer a threat. The priority is catching the people who are planning the next attack, which the administration has been busy doing, with the active and deliberate hindrance of the New York Times, the Democratic Party, and assorted other traitors.

Once again “anyonymouse”, you lie. What could they have done about it, that they didn’t do? What would you have done about it? There was nothing new in the memo; all it said was that, several years earlier, OBL had decided to hit targets in the USA. No specifics. So what should they have done about it?
