“This is a dumb game that the press is playing. It is an absurd hypothetical question. But let’s indulge the media for a moment and play their gotcha game.

“If you can find me a Muslim candidate who is a Republican, who will fight hard to protect religious liberty, who will respect the Judeo-Christian heritage of America, who will be committed to destroying ISIS and radical Islam, who will condemn cultures that treat women as second class citizens and who will place their hand on the Bible and swear to uphold the Constitution, then yes, I will be happy to consider voting for him or her. Jindal said.

“If you can’t, I’ll settle for voting for a Christian Governor from Louisiana.” Jindal added

There is no requirement in the constitution for a president to put his hand on a “bible”. The word “bible” doesn’t appear anywhere in the Constitution. He can swear on a Koran or ANY book of beliefs of value to him/her. The one thing I do know is that Jindal will never get close to the White House and has destroyed a once-promising legacy by jumping into the right wing slime of religious intolerance with Trump, Carson and Fiorina.

Great comment from a former Hindu who converted to evangelical xtianity. GOP racism has opened Pandors’s box for anti-minority statements and policies, which (like with Coulter) will result in virulent anti-semitism. Just wait and see. As right wing antisemitism rises in Europe, GOP is subtely fostering hate-speech here. That cannot be denied.

Of course there should not be a Muslim president.
Even if he promises to follow the Constitution, we can’t believe him, because Muslims are allowed to swear falsely, it is called, “Al Teqiya.”

If you ever believe anything that a muslim tells you than you deserve the consequences that follow, whether it is in business dealings,or life-and death issues.

Al Teqiya is one of the reasons u cannot have anything to do with muslims ,unless you of course are a muslim.

We have a muslim president Behaima now,and how is that working out??

yes, it seems that America is becoming crazier each day. Between the terrible killings that grab the headlines and the awful statements coming from the candidates, America seems to have lost its mental balance and ability to actually think and reason.

We should move to Israel before the candidates start with antisemitism and rouse up latent feeling in the America public.

Jindal is an intelligent, moral conservative, deep thinker. I would vote for him for President. Unfortunately, he is too intelligent and complex for the idiotic masses who prefer a loudmouthed crass obnoxious showman like Donald Trump.
