34-year-old Tzipi Rimmel of Neveh Tzuf and her three-week-old daughter Noam Rachel were hit by another vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old.

The Rimel family’s son, Itay, was critically injured in the crash and the father, Ephraim, was seriously injured. The Jerusalem Post reported.

According to police reports, the driver who crashed into the family’s vehicle was driving well over the speed limit at about 150 km.

“The stories of the family and friends from Neveh Tzuf touch the heart and tell of a special family, full of grace and blessed action,” said Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi on his Facebook page.

“We strengthen the dear family at this difficult hour and the residents of Neveh Tzuf and pray for the recovery of the others who were injured,” said Binyamin Regional Council head Yisrael Gantz.

According to this report, the car which struck the family was traveling at the equivalent of 100mph; what lunatic in their right mind travels that fast at night, especially on Israeli highways?

May the Family be comforted among all of the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
