WASHINGTON (AP) – A senior U.S.official said Friday the United States and the Taliban have reached a truce agreement that will take effect “very soon” and could lead to withdrawals of American troops from Afghanistan.
The official said the agreement for a seven-day “reduction in violence” to be followed by the start of all-Afghan peace talks within 10 days is “very specific” and covers the entire country including Afghan forces.
Very simply we are retreating. We lost our chance at victory when George Bush (the Lesser) decided he wanted to invade Iraq for some reason.

Withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan and Iraq now; it is not worth the loss of any more American troops. Seven thousand dead and 80,000 wounded is enough. If those savages want to go on killing each other, let them. The Russians got their tuchas’ beaten there from 1979-1989, and they were wise enough to have withdrawn. It makes zero sense, after almost twenty years to keep troops in both countries, as nothing has been achieved. The Taliban is as active as it always was in Afghanistan. In Iraq, there is total chaos, and mass government corruption. I remember Bush #43 and his crew kept stating “Wait until they hold elections and establish a democratic government”. Unfortunately, in that part of the world, those savages don’t know what democracy means, and need a strong dictator to rule over them.

At least President Obama decimated ISIL. He did what no Republican had the courage to do.
