Protocol stipulates that all employees return to Israel every weekend, with the exclusion of one diplomatic representative as well as a security team.
On Wednesday, however, it was affirmed that Israel had decided to vacate its Jordanian embassy a day earlier than schedule, following fears of violent protests outside the embassy building, expected to take place on Thursday and throughout the weekend.
A senior Foreign Ministry official told Haaretz that the planned protest was organized on Facebook, adding that more than 3,000 signed up to participate.
The noose is quickly tightening around EY as the eastern and southern borders with Egypt and Jordan will soon be at risk, along with those in the North with Syria and Lebanon. The outcome of the PA efforts at the UN later this month (coming right in the midst of the yamim noraim) will determine what the arab “street” reaction will be.
And Jordan & Egypt were supposed to be the more moderate arab countries who have a supposed peace treaty with Israel. There is no partner for peace.
perhaps this what Chaza”l called Chevlei Moshiach, birthpangs of our Messiah. Every woman dreads the “birthing experience” but the newborn child is well worth the painful experience. So too, perhaps, this looks like all signs point to war but Netzach Yisroel Lo Yishaker (the Savior of the Jewish nation does not lie) and He will save his people. This will hopefully be the best-case scenario as Israel reclaims all the land surrounding its current borders all the way to the Sea so the Yishamelim won’t be there any more to harras them. They will retreat to Jordan or else be lost to war. Good riddance “Palestinians”!!!
To #1 : “will soon be at risk”. We don’t take our cue from worldview at large; let’s remember Who is in charge. I’m with #3 on this.
