Staten Island, NY – Plan to Ease Traffic Congestion

Staten Island, NY – Driving on the island will soon get a little easier, thanks to a comprehensive plan to improve traffic announced by the Mayor. “Staten Island is our fastest-growing borough, and its infrastructure has not kept up with its phenomenal growth,” he said.

The plan includes: 1) Increased bus and train service. 2) A study of 10 major intersections. 3) More intersections allowing right turns on red. 4) More park-and-ride facilities. 5) A study of a possible South Shore fast-ferry service
