New York +NYS Thruway Construction/Repaving Traffic Alert+

    New York – A new construction repaving project along the Rockland-Orange County border on the New York State Thruway, will start soon.
    The project is between Exit 15 (I-287/Route 17) in Sloatsburg and about five miles south of Exit 16 (Harriman). And also Road work on two miles from Exit 11 to the Tappan Zee Bridge is expected to begin next week.

    Work on the nine-mile section of the Thruway will first be done in the southbound lanes. Tilcon New York will close lanes beginning at 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. After 9 p.m., Tilcon can close two lanes.
    The job will also involve repairing and repaving a 6.6-mile stretch from Exit 14 to Exit 15, and reconfiguring the Exit 14B interchange with Airmont Road. Those projects will be done next year.
