Newark, NJ +Health Issue on Incoming Plane+ NJ Health Department responding with multiple other agencies to Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal “C” for an incoming international flight Continental Flight number 98 that just arrived from Hong Kong, with 274 passengers, 85 passengers feeling sick of flu like symptoms.

As per orders of the Deportment of Health no one is allowed to enter or exit the plane, EMS to provide water supply to keep the passengers from dehydration, and to be delivered only true the cockpit window.

Continental officials have issued this statement.
At this time we do not have a medical assessment from CDC. It is believed that the ill passengers are part of a group of more than 80 tourists who sailed together on a river cruise in Asia. The final destination of the group, after transiting Newark, is Montreal, Canada. We will pass along additional pertinent information as it becomes available.
