Columbus, Ohio – A U.S. citizen was charged with joining al-Qaida and conspiring to bomb tourist resorts where mericans vacation in Europe and U.S. government facilities and military bases there, according to a federal indictment.

Christopher Paul, 43, of Columbus, trained with al-Qaida in the early 1990s overseas and told al-Qaida members in Pakistan and Afghanistan that he was dedicated to committing violent jihad, the indictment issued Wednesday by a federal grand jury said.
Paul is charged with providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide support to terrorists and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction. [AP-VIN]

The investigation of Christopher Paul spanned four years, three continents and at least eight countries, FBI agent Tim Murphy said Thursday to the Media. [AP]
The FBI would not confirm if the capture of Mr Christopher was a direct result from domestic surveillance programs that have come under political assault. [VIN]

Federal agents raided Paul’s father’s home in November 2006 and found a modified remote control boat, books on how to make explosives and a book about improvised land mines, Timothy Murphy of the FBI would not comment whether other arrests would be made.
He should be “gotten rid of” ASAP!
