    Washington – The I-R-S has issued an alert to warn about scams involving fraudulent e-mails that appear to be from the I-R-S. The messages direct the consumer to a Web link that asks for such personal information as Social Security, bank account and credit-card numbers.

    People might wonder about the fact that many consider IRS activities to be scams since they do not even follow their own regulations and manuals, and subject the citizen to actions that are in violation of their own rules and regulations!
