Spring Valley, NY – Teenager Sentenced for Robbing Monsey Kosher Supermarket

    Spring Valley, NY – A judge sentenced a 16-year-old from Spring Valley to 13 years in prison today for helping rob a Monsey supermarket and beat up the manager last year.
    Francisco Feria of 30 John St. had pleaded guilty on March 20 to first-degree robbery of the Monsey Glatt on Nov. 23.

    Feria was one of four people charged with robbing the supermarket. Two others, Junior Marseilles, 21, and Aldaberto Lucus, 21, have pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and await sentencing.
    A fourth suspect, Edward Cesus, 23, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

    The suspects were accused of jumping the Monsey Glatt store manager at 11:53 p.m. Thanksgiving and pistol-whipping him with a BB gun before stealing $15,000 from the business office, as was reported first here on Vos Iz Neias.
    The manager suffered a broken cheekbone and other injuries. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and released. [Journal News]
