Rockland County, Chestnut Ridge, NY +Pedestrian Seriously Struck+ Hatzolah Medics on the scene at Chestnut Ridge Middle School at 892 Chestnut Ridge Road requesting backup for a pedestrian 6-year-old child that was struck in the parking lot, and sustained serious injuries with multi-system trauma.
Hatzolah requesting Medivac to fly, Stat Flight Air-1 has a 6 minute ETA, launching zone at the ball field near the scene.

According to the Hamodia this morning he went to school in NJ and the bus was parked, therefore the stop sign was not up which I think means it is Ok to pass. Supposedly the kid is doing fine.

He didn’t just get minor injuries, he got life threating injuries I was around the corner and a school in the area stopped learning for a few minutes to say tehillim. The principal walked into the class and said I am so sorry for disturbing you but there was a major accident and everyone should please say a few cappitalech tehillim. Some classes finished the subject and then said there tehillim. I am sure it was a big zechus for the boy.

CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. (AP) — A six-year-old boy was hit by a car in the parking lot of the Chestnut Ridge Middle School in Rockland County shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Ramapo Police say the boy attends a Yeshiva in New Jersey and the parking lot is used as a drop off spot for children to get a bus to the school. Sergeant Mark Emma says the boy apparently forgot his backpack and ran back to the car when he was hit.
He was helicoptered to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he undeerrwent surgery on his arm, and was treated for bruises to his torso and legs.
