Rockland County, NY – There are rumors on both sides of the political aisle, that former Assemblyman Ryan Karben want his old County Legislature seat back.

But Karben said that that’s not true. Actually, he’s supporting the re-election of Legislator Philip Soskin, D-Monsey.
But people have asked him to consider it.“My family commitments and my professional commitments don’t make that race viable right now,” he said.
Karben, who resigned from the Assembly on May 18, 2006, as was reported here on Vos Iz Neias, has got a lot of work as a private attorney, he’s working as Spring Valley’s deputy attorney, he’s holding the reins on a wealthy environmental PAC, he’s still “in” with Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
Hearing Karben talk you’d think the only thing he needs is a white picket fence.
But Karben said he is flattered that people would think of him for the Legislature seat, even if it isn’t going to happen—this year. [Lohud]
He should be running. They should Run him out of town!
We want Karben back! The worst thing for us is that Karben is not in office. Only Karben delivered while the others promise. For years, the 306 sidewalk project in Forshay was stalled. Karben got it moving. The brook flooding in Spring Valley is moving forward now only because Ryan is involved. I will vote for him for anything and everything. RUN RYAN RUN!
Why did he resign?
Ryan is someone I would never vote for and it has nothing to with why he resign.
Karben you were great in Office, we want you back, give me a chance to vote for you on the ballot this coming November.
