Monticello, NY – Police say a perp opened fire at an apartment house on Anawana Lake Road. No injuries were reported.

Two men fled the scene, jumping into a passing stranger’s car and telling him to drive away. The stranger drove to Wal-Mart, then told the men he was calling 911.
The two men ran into the Wal-Mart, claiming one of their sisters was there.
Sullivan County 911 got numerous phone calls to report shots had been fired, numerous police, EMS and also Hatzolah responded.
Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty said the two victims were tracked down at the Wal-Mart and were being interviewed by police. A possible shooter is in custody, Chaboty said. Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers are interviewing witnesses.
Cops were collecting shell casings from outside the apartment house and searching the apartment house under authority of a search warrant as part of the investigation. [Record – VIN]
