Department of Transportation spokeswoman Molly Gordy says NYPD canine units and bomb specialists found nothing on the boats after they received the call.
The telephone threat was against the boat departing from Staten Island's St. George terminal. Authorities evacuated and searched that ferry, the John J. Marchi, as well as the ferry that docked shortly afterward.

The canine unit did a cursory sweep of terminal then sent the boats on their way. The ferry schedule was delayed by eight minutes.  [AP]

Cops say they’ve tracked down the man who called bomb threats into the St. George Ferry Terminal this morning and Saturday.

Terrance Hill, 41, used his cell phone to call in this morning’s threat, said Assistant Chief Albert Girimonte, the Island’s top cop. Detectives were able to trace the call and arrested Hill later in the day, Girimonte said.

He described Hill as an “EDP” — emotionally disturbed person, in police lingo.
