Orange County, Central Vally NY – Robber At Woodbury Common Store Nets $50G.

Orange County, Central Vally NY – Woodbury police are investigating the theft of nearly $50,000 in cash at the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.

The theft occurred at 2 a.m. at the store at 283 Red Apple Court. The suspect apparently entered the store with a key, disarmed the alarm and opened the safe, before taking $48,424 in cash. He left the store within four minutes of his arrival, Abbott said.

“We believe it’s somebody who has knowledge of the store including access to keys, alarm codes and the safe combination,” Abbott said.

Abbott said police are reviewing a security tape of the suspect to see if they can make a positive identification.[record]
