Ramapo, NY – Members of Preserve Ramapo who tried unsuccessfully to oust town incumbents in last month's election, have filed a complaint with the state's Board of Elections alleging that Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence and his supporters violated election law, by removing the Preserve Ramapo signs and replacing them with look-alike signs that directed voters to the wrong ballot line and the wrong Web site.

A spokeswoman for the state Board of Elections said today that the complaint had been received yesterday. And it will now be reviewed by the state office, a spokeswoman said. [journalnews]
