The incident began when the veteran personality was asked to spell the word "Jewish" during his show on the Chicago radio station.
"Money, M-O-N-E-Y," was Coppock's on-air response to the question.

The radio stations General Manager Jim Pastor said the sportscaster's comment was not acceptable and suspended Coppock until Feb. 23.
"We're extremely sorry," Pastor said. "The comment was offensive and uncalled for. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior from any of our hosts."

Coppock, who mainly works weekend shifts at the Chicago radio station, also issued a statement in which he apologized.
"I made an offensive comment I truly regret," that statement read. "I sincerely apologize." [upi]

He said his “out loud” and he is suffering the punishment by being suspeneded for 2 weeks without pay.

Ok. But there are insdie words and outside words. This inside word slipped out of his mouth and now he deserves what he is getting.

And where is Fat AL on this issue.

Fat Al always goes nuts when an inside word becomes an outside word!

I have no problem with the suspension the same way I would not have had a problem had Imus also only been suspended. I thought CBS was a bunch of wusses for caving into Al Slim Shady Loudmouth Sharpton and his dirty bag of tricks.

Face it, we live in a country where people have opinions and they are generally allowed to say them. He said his “out loud” and he is suffering the punishment by being suspeneded for 2 weeks without pay.

The best way to keep this loudmouth bum off the air is to call the advertisers of the show en masse and threaten boycott. What do you think Jesse Jerkson does? Let’s learn from him and Sharpie Sharpton..

Until Feb 23?? So he’ll be back on the air in plenty of time to reprise his Haman impressions.

Do a Don Imus…FIRE HIM!! Send a message that anti-semitism is no less offensive than anti-black rhetoric.

It’ll never happen, Jews don’t matter.
