The office manager of Temple Beth Sholom in South Salem at 1274 Cunningham Lane S. found the swastikas on the sidewalk outside the temple and on decorative glass near the main doors, temple administrator Judith Havas said.
Salem police are treating the vandalism as a hate crime.
However, it is suspected that juveniles performed the vandalism, given the fact that one of the swastikas was drawn backward. [StatesmanJournal]
