Fairfield, CT – Woman Charged With Vandalism of Jewish Cemetery

    Fairfield, CT – An 18-year-old woman has been charged with vandalism and bigotry, accused of knocking over up to 100 headstones and caused more than $10,000 damage at a Jewish cemetery.

    Nadine Sonneville turned herself in to police for the October 2005, when 80 to 100 headstones were knocked over at a Jewish cemetery on Reid Street and the damage was estimated at more than $10,000, police said.

    Sonneville went to Fairfield police headquarters voluntarily. A warrant was held for her arrest.
    Police said they believe Sonneville conspired with another person in the action. She was charged and release on a $10,000 bond. [NBC]
