Fire officials said nobody was injured in the blaze, which took more than two hours to bring under control.

According to Deputy fire Chief Martocci, the call was received just after 6 p.m. Emergency responders from Paterson, Clifton and Carlstadt joined 20 Passaic firefighters at the scene, Hatzola was also requested but no one was injured.

Officials declined to identify the residents of the burning house, but neighbors reported that the family that lived there was safe.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Wednesday night if the Menorah was the cause.

A fund raising has been set up by The Ahavas shul in passaic.

And anyone with half a brain could do a reverse lookup on the address to get the name.

Ribono Shel Olam, the mishpocha has had so much agmas nefesh, hutz rachmonis shoyn.

Considering its the wrong address doing a reverse lookup is pointless.

whoever posted the whole familys background is really inconsiderate- does the whole world have to know that shes an almana? i dont think so. and I dont either think that everybody has to know that we are collecting money for them, how many of you are seriously going to pull out your wallets right now and make a donation? get real. please have some consideration before you just post something. Think to yourself if this was you, would you want everyone knowing about your family? I dont think so, so then DONT write it.

Every once in a while we hear of a family losing everything in a fire, followed by apeals for money to help them. It would be much better if the communities would make an effort to see to it that all their members have fire insurance, even if a fund has to be kept to cover those who can’t afford to pay their own. It’s certainly cheaper and less traumatic than losing everything and having to rely on outsiders to help out. Often it is the people with low incomes who don’t have insurance, so it might be a good idea to arrange for an insurance broker to be at the jewish community council offices, especially to deal with those coming in for benefits.

This has nothing to do with insurance.

Before the fire is out the family needs money NOW. Cloths, shoes, medications, food. All the personal items we each use every day. Totthbrush, hairbrush, contact lens solution, toiletries. Tallis and tefillin.

Shabbos suits, shabbos coats and hats. A shabbos shaitel. The list goes on.

The fact that they have insurance does nothing for them NOW.

NOW they are homeless and in need of tzedokah.
