Miami, FL – State troopers are looking for a charity to take thousands of shoes that were dumped on a Miami expressway, tying up rush hour traffic. Lt. Pat Santangelo says the Florida Highway Patrol received a call about the shoes Friday morning.

Santangelo says he’s not sure where the shoes came from. There were no signs of a crash and no one stopped to claim them. He says he hopes someone will take them because he doesn’t want to send them to the dump.
Workers using a front-end loader and a dump truck were able to quickly clear at least one lane by sweeping all the shoes to shoulder, but delays were expected until they could all be removed.
may b 4 tisha bav ?
was prez bush in the area
An abvious store closing cleanout – cheaper to dump on road than take to dump (too stupid to take tax deduction?).
Not likely a store cleanout of old stock …. These were thousands of pairs of USED SHOES.
No one seems to know where they came from. The owner of the shoes is not claiming them. Probably realizes he/she will have to pay for the cleanup, and hauling off the highway, which may be more than that load of used shoes is worth.
But, it still is a mystery.
Where did those thousands of used shoes come from??
They are looking for a charity to take them.
I wonder if some charity did not dump them….
seems like someone is trying to send a message to president bush….sounds like this was an intentional sick and stupid joke.
I wonder if some American charity found they had thousands of donated used shoes, and paid someone to haul them away and dump them.
This person, or the charity themselves, may have accidentally dropped them on the highway, and will not fess up, since the cost of clean up will be expensive.
At least a Tenn/Alabama charity will now take the shoes, process them, and donate them to 3rd world needy.
And the Jewish component to this story is……………..
And with everything else going on we need to know about this because…………..
(Please fill in the blanks)
where are all the people missing the shoes? do the polese know?
This country is very good with security!
No wonder why we can’t find Bin Ladin.
If you can’t find how on earth THOUSANDS of shoes land on a highway that ties up rush hour traffic how you can find criminals?
Lost soles
Obviously a remez to Mechiras Yosef
The shoes belong to Gazan fighters. They found that they can run away faster while barefoot, I believed they learn’t it from the Egyptians in 1967.
Making them ready for obama
thats a good way to “tie up” traffic, to many laces on the shoes!!!!!!!!!
I agree with # 5. I think this was probably some sick stunt by Arabs in recognition & praise for the shoe throwing incident against Bush.
Which charity will spend the countless hours sorting through these trying to match the pairs???
