Tehran – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned the United States and Britain Sunday to stop meddling in Iran’s internal affairs, the ISNA news agency reported.

“Definitely by hasty remarks you will not be placed in the circle of friendship with the Iranian nation. Therefore I advise you to correct your interfering stances,” Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.
“They (Western countries) want to portray as small the great and powerful position that has been created for the Iranian nation inside and outside after the recent election, by which of course they made a mistake and they showed they still do not know the Iranian nation,” Ahmadinejad said.
“Definitely recent events will add to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s greatness and might,” he said.
Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaki held a news conference where he rebuked Britain, France and Germany for raising questions about reports of voting irregularities in hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s re-election — a proclaimed victory which has touched off Iran’s most serious internal conflict since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
He criticized Britain, France and Germany for raising questions about Ahmadinejad’s victory. Mottaki accused France of taking “treacherous and unjust approaches” and said Britain “has always created problems” in relations.
who is butting into who? as far as i know obama is keeping quiet. actually i have not heard from him since he went to cairo. oh i get it! for if he does say something he will apoligize for what he did or say. maybe accchhhhminijad is halucinating and hearing things, but with this guy you never know!
I believe they are right, he won this election by a landslide and so were all the polls conducted before the election indicating this. We must take blame the iranian people for this descision and say clearly that they must revolt this leadership or suffer the resluts.
How can millions of votes be counted by hand in a few hours?? Since when has the US or Great Britain EVER been in the circle of friends with Ahmadinejad or the Supreme Ruler. God help the people of Iran who want true freedom. I will pray for them.
Anonymous 1. How would you know that the election was won in a landslide? Do you work for the Iranian Election Commission? When Ahmedinajad won his first election in 2005 by 62%, why was there no protests that the election was rigged then?!
The basij are murdering innocent girls and boys in the street because they are protesting this sham “election”. They are tired of the mullahs controlling every aspect of their lives and they want to elect their own leaders. Iran (under the Shah) used to be an ally of Israel before the fanatical mullahs took over. Obama is turning a blind eye to the blood of innocents in the streets of Teheran.
Let them be busy killing each other so they will not have time to build weapons
I agree with one of the other post, Obama has been relatively quiet about the situation. If he says something he is wrong and if he keeps quiet he is wrong. Mr. Ahnadinajad doesn’t want the United States in Iran’s circle of friendship regardless of what is said. It’s not the fault of the United States that there is an issue with the voting results.
I think that he is very smart of condemning the west, because that’s the only way to unit his country…
