Israel – Police on Saturday evening arrested a 20-year-old Nahal Haredi soldier on suspicion of threatening violence against participants at a Tel Aviv gay solidarity rally.

During a search of the soldier’s Jerusalem house, police discovered and confiscated a firearm, as well as two devices allegedly used to send the threats over the internet.
Police say that the suspect admitted to making the threats during a questioning session.
Also did police arrest, Aryeh Yerushalmi, for wearing a T-shirt that said “Homos, We are Tired of You” to a rally by homosexuals at Tel Aviv’s main square Saturday night.
It is not known what law Yerushalmi is suspected of breaking.
According to NRG, police asked him to leave the area and when he refused, arrested him. “They arrest people here because you cannot express yourself in this country,” Yerushalmi said before being forced into a squad car.
Yerushalmi, 27, is known for two earlier provocative one-man demonstrations that he held at branches of the Tiv Ta’am supermarket chain, (as was reported at that time here on VIN News). For two years in a row, he took off almost all of his clothes near the bread shelves in the store during Pesach (Passover) to protest a court ruling that allowed the store to sell chametz (leavened, and therefore unkosher for Pesach) products during the holiday.
Keep up the good work, good T-shirt btw
He should be commended for his kanoes just like Pinchas ben Elozor
you might have pointed out that over 20,000 Israelis of every stripe peacefully demonstrated against gay violence — quite a contrast with today’s haredi riots in yerushalyim.
““They arrest people here because you cannot express yourself in this country,” “
nor apparently can suffering yidden with teivos…
he should be commended that he is using his brainless head
The article makes him sound like a very disturbed individual. Why is such a sick person allowed to remain in the army and have accesss to a gun. He obviously needs help rather than rotting in jail.
#3 If they were beaten up or tear-gassed by police, you may be sure that the stones would be much bigger. Most chiloni protests in Israel end up with several police in the hospitals when the chilonim are not even beaten up by the police during their protests.
this guy has a point by the way… this is another case of the Israeli police arresting someone without giving charges, a hallmark of Israeli pseudo-democracy.
Oh #9 , who does belong in the army??Not good enough for a chassidishe boy to defend the country but ok for everyone else? If you cannot defend your country, then don’t live there.Go somewhere else.
