In a letter to the Sarkozy sent earlier this week, Netanyahu said that Hamori did not meet the criteria for early parole. The prime minister wrote that Hamori did not express any regrets for his deeds and that according to the opinion of the state’s attorney-general he still represents a threat to the public.

Sarkozy sent the letter to Netanyahu last week, following massive Palestinian pressure on to work toward Hamori’s release from jail.

Palestinian groups tried to equate the status of the convicted terrorist to that of captive IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, who holds dual French-Israeli citizenship. Hamori also holds a French identity card.

Hamori, of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was arrested by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) for his part in the plot to kill Shas’s spiritual leader in 2005.

According to Channel 2, the French president sent the letter after Hamori’s mother met with him on the matter.

Last year, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner submitted an identical request to then-Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni.

Why would the French president meet with Hamori’s mother? What is so special about Hamori?

Bibi is not stupid to bow down to some French demands. France should first solve it’s racial and religious intolerance against Muslims wearing burkahs before Sarkozy demands Israel to release terrorists.

Brilliant. If France wants this guy so badly, let them offer something up for it. Otherwise Sarkozy can shove his request down the toilet.

What reason did Sarkozy give to release Hamori? Is he just asking for a pardon or is he saying that he is innocent of the crime he did? If asking for a pardon then we should ask Polard and Shalit’s release as well? Let’s swap the them. I don’t even know why im writing this, its a waste of time.

So let me get this straight, Bibi listens to Obama who loves the Muslims and tells Israel what to do, but he won’t listen to Sarkozy? Sounds like Netanyahu doesn’t mind upsetting the Israelis who are certainly his friends. Yet, he wants to tell Sarkozy “No.” Netanyahu sounds like Obama, who loves enemies and pushes friends away.
Mr. Obama kisses and hugs and bows down to the enemies of the United States and Israel, but he is unfriendly to our friends.
Sarkozy is a great new leader on the political scene.
So, why the h*** is Netnayahu saying no to Sarkozy and yes to Obama??? Netanyahu is being nice to Obama and not nice to Sarkozy?
