Washington – A US official met with today Jewish leaders in the US and said the Obama administration would employ its power with the UN Security Council and prevent the Goldstone report on the Gaza war from reaching UN institutions and the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

He said the US had the right to veto such procedures, and that the report would only be analyzed by the Human Rights Council in Geneva

I was in Washington, DC, area that weekend. Some of the signs displayed and T-shirts worn would have made you sick to your stomach. As the child of Holocaust survivors, I was absolutely disgusted with those people who equated Obama with Hitler yimach shmo. I can only hope that someday those same people will read a history book and then see how wrong they are.
The real reason America squashed the report was to prevent activists seeing success and then trying to do the against the US in Iraq and Afghanastan.
War is messy. The U.N. should do as much against the rockets into Israel if they really cared.
