New York, NY – Bloomberg Defends Helicopter Jaunt to Concert in NJ

    7

New York, NY – Some reporter was disgraceful enough to ask Mayor Bloomberg about his choice to take a helicopter to the U2 concert at Giants Stadium Thursday, when he could have, say, taken NJ Transit and left a smaller carbon footprint.

Hizzoner sarcastically snipped, “You know there are other ways to get around, different ways, some are more energy efficient. I could have walked and swum across the river as well, that would have used less.”

Stu Loeser, Mr. Bloomberg’s chief spokesman, explained that the mayor was trying not to waste time. He had just wrapped up an event with Leonel Fernandez, the president of the Dominican Republic, in Washington Heights, and determined that, given the hour (8:25 p.m.) and the traffic, it would have been difficult for him to make it to the Meadowlands in a timely fashion. Hence the air route.

So in order not to waste time from a concert its ok to pollute the earth? So according to this rationale why is not ok to pollute to save money? But this is how all green libs think that for their benefit they can travel on private jets but us we have to drive in a prius

For such a chushuve mensch such as the mayor, it would be a waste of time and resources for all the additional security to have him take the train. We are fortunate to have him as mayor and hashem will fix any additional global warmning his heliocpter trip created.

The reporter is a major idiot. With the amount of things going last week, security concerns for the fact he is a billionaire and the mayor of the best and biggest coty in the world, it would be stupid to take anything but a helicopter.

This is just about what I expect from Bloomberg. Whenever he’s asked about something that might put him in a wrong light he responds in a nasty defensive way. I can only hope that there are a lot of voters like me out there who are sick and tired of him.

I don’t get you guys, what ever the Mayor does you won’t agree with him.

He takes a $1 a year for salary, when he travels by air he uses his own helicoptor or airplane, when going to work he uses the train and pays from his own pocket, this Mayor is saving NYC a lot of money and you are complaining? To travel by car to the concert or work would cost the City gas, extra security, wear & tear on the car.

If it will be up to me let him only travel by helicoptor and it will save the City money. He has it so let him spend it.

Stop already with all the negetive comments when you see or hear the word Bloomberg.

Bloomberg has so much money that he has nothing to do with his time so he decided to be mayor and wants to fix the world on the tax payers dime, all the global warming no sense, planting trees, taking away traffic lanes, all on the tax payers dime
also, raising water fees and taxes, yes he did raise taxes, ticketing us to dead, turning the city into a business, closing down small businesses and list goes on and on..
He’s to rich to understand how even a millionaire feels about stuff what can to except about the middle class.
Now go ahead and vote for him.
