Am I more likely to catch swine flu because I’m pregnant?
Probably. The immune system is slightly depressed during pregnancy, which leaves expectant mothers more vulnerable to infection by several pathogens, including but not limited to H1N1. (Others run the gamut from malaria to measles, from leprosy to several types of food poisoning.) Researchers are starting to figure out why this is the case, but “many unanswered questions remain,” according to the Centers for Disease Control.

This is a terribly biased article. This vaccine is being rushed out to market, not tested enough and has “blanket immunity” if something bad should happen you have no one to blame but yourself. Instead of rushing out to get a vaccine, why not put a little faith in Hashem and take care of yourself.
More people will get serioulsy sick from the vaccine than from the chazer flu.
To all you fear mongerers, I plan to follow my dr’s advice and not that of commenters on this board. If he took the shot himself, then that’s good enough for me. No, drs. don’t have all the answers and can be misled by drug company propaganda, but I believe he is in a better position than I am and the commenters here to understand the current scientific information that is available and to weigh the pros and cons for different people in different risk groups. I suggest that all of you do the same.

Our doctors here in Israel have said under no circumstances are we to get the vaccine. There have been numerous problems with regular flu vaccines, all the more so a vaccine which has not been subjected to the usual rigor of tests. a previously healthy woman here in our community passed away from the seemingly harmless flu vaccine two years ago. Everyone beware!!! Flu vaccines are NOT without risks!!!
Just because a vaccine has been tested, does not mean that it is free of side effects G-d forbid. Read all of the warnings carefully before getting this or any vaccine! But don’t count them out, they have helped eradicate many dangerous diseases R”LZ.
It has not been tested on pregnant women. There have been no studies on the affects on babies whose mother’s have had this or any flu vaccine. The flu vaccines are the only vaccines today that is made with murcery,a known neurotoxin.
The fact that a prestigious medical journal has nothing bad to say about the vaccine, doesn’t mean that the article wasn’t slanted in favor of the drug company which ran the study to begin with! Have you ever been vaccinated without your doctor notifying you of the risks beforehand? He has to, to cover his ____ for malpractice purposes.
People should not be forced to take the vaccine, or lose their jobs because they refuse it. I am afraid of this vaccine and all the others, and I want to have have freedom of choice, freedom to practice my own health care as I see fit. I never ever had any flu, and I have a protocol of natural remedies if I do get sick and preventive ones too. The gov’t. has an agenda here and I don’t trust them one bit.
