New York, NY – U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer wants his fellow Democrat to unseat billionaire New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, saying the city can’t become too divided between the rich and poor.

Schumer and fellow Democrat U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand — who have both spoken highly of Bloomberg — said Monday that city Comptroller William Thompson Jr. would be the best mayor for working families.

When asked whether Bloomberg had contributed to the struggles of middle-class New Yorkers, Schumer refused to criticize Bloomberg.

But he said he is rooting for the underdog Thompson, who is struggling to raise money. Bloomberg has spent $64.8 million of his own cash seeking a third term.

Chuck – you live in Brooklyn. You lived here under Dinkins. Thompson is no better. If he is elected, your crime will go up and you wont be able to ride your bike without it being stolen. All the City appointees will be know nothing, do nothing buddies of Thompson. Extremists and racists will have streets and boulevards named after them and the Korean, Jewish, and every other minority community other than Black will be heading for the burbs. CHuck- if anyone decent runs against you – he/she gets my vote. NYS gets carpet bagger senators and left wing Jewish liberal commies. Yech!

This is the tipping point foor me. I don’t like Bloomberg and can’t stand some of the stuff he does. But with UpChuck Schumer endorsing Thimpson, I will hold my nose and vote for Bloomy.

GO Thompson Go! The Orthodox Jewish Community is fully behind you!
Bloomberg will not get no 20% in our neighborhoods… I don’t care what the city wide polls show… I know what they say in SHUL… I haven’t met a person that says he will vote for Bloomberg…
Well, after what Bloomberg made fun of our 30,000 letters to him… for the school vouchers… and he only extended it for 6 months… none of the parents who signed those letters will vote for Bloomberg…

If Chumer wasn’t elected only to get His Majesty Michael the First out of city hall, Dayeinu.

Mr. Schumer, here’s your chance that you’re actually doing something for the people who actually work daily for their money, the middle class.

    Go for it, prove yourself!
