Jerusalem – Rabbis Warn Against H1N1 Vaccines

Rabbis Warn Against H1N1 VaccinesJerusalem – After calling on the UN to ignore the Goldstone Report, the 71 rabbonim on the revived Sanhedrin are recommending the public in Eretz Yisroel think twice before consenting to receive swine flu shots. Although in Israel dozens have already succumbed to the virus, they note the majority of the fatalities were among patients with serious health problems.

Three months ago the rabbonim summoned Dr. Daisy Stern to testify before the beis din and she presented “extremely worrisome figures.” She was followed by Prof. Maureen Friedman, a virology expert at Ben-Gurion University, who said vaccines sent to Israel contained adjuvant, “whose use was banned in the US, but permitted in Europe, where states are involved in legislation or agreements that provide protection against lawsuits. However, there are countries that avoid making use of the vaccine.”

The rabbonim also hinted at the possibility of a conspiracy and the psak din signed by Sanhedrin spokesman Prof. Hillel Weiss and secretary Rav Dov Stein reads, “The UN is not particularly concerned what happens to us as a result of a faulty vaccine. It would not be surprising if the World Health Organization, which is under the UN, were to make use of Israeli citizens as guinea pigs to check the reliability of the type of vaccine Israel possesses.

“Every individual must take responsibility for his or her decision whether or not to get vaccinated against Mexican flu and should consult with a qualified, trusted doctor, especially in the event of an epidemic of Mexican flu.”

The rabbonim also issued concrete recommendations to government authorities: “The government has a weighty obligation not to undermine the public’s faith in the healthcare system. Seeding panic and coercing the public or a segment of the public to get vaccinated poses a grave threat to faith in the healthcare system. The healthcare system should work toward rehabilitating the public trust by taking genuine, practical steps so that if, chas vesholom an epidemic of dangerous proportions does break out, it will not be a result of the public’s fear of the serum.”

Why even give this so-called Sanhedrin any publicity? This clam about a UN conspiracy is completely nuts – -and if a Palestinian group were saying the same thing about a Zionist conspiracy, we’d rightly laugh it off. What’s happening to frum Jews? Are we all becoming insane??

the Sanhedrin are showing their ignorance in this issue.

First it has been show that the vaccine did not start in Mexico, calling it Mexican Vaccine is wrong. Even if it did start their how would the Sanhedrin feel if a Vaccine started in Israel would be called Jew vaccine.

In addition Vaccine makers cannot be sued in the US just like Europe, so logic is starting off on a wrong assumption.

If the vaccine are being used in Europe how do they conclude they are using Israel as as guinea pigs. Sorry I meant to say guinea Israelis since I do not want to use the word pig or associate Israelis to pigs

Great. A bunch of rabbonim who, collectively, couldn’t muster the equivalent of a high school science education, are now telling people about the dangers of swine– er, “Mexican”– flu vaccines. What next? A bunch of doctors running around issuing psak halakha? This self-appointed “Sanhedrin” should avoid embarassing itself with this kind of meddling.

Don’t people have better things to do with themselves than claiming they are the new Sanhedrin? Aveira gorres Aveira -first they claim they are a Bais Din (false), then they claim that the Swine flu shot is dangerous (false). I’m sure most of them won’t get punished because they are probably Shotahs!

These lunatics who purport to constitute a “revived sanhendrin” have no basis in halacha or daas torah and their effots to undermine the vaccination process puts hundreds of thousands of yiddin at risk. If there are any deaths from flue as a result of their fear-mongering, they should be held responsible. In the interim, arent’ there any legitimate gadolim to speak out against the apikorsus of having these self-annointed egotists annoint themselves as the new sanhendrin.

Is that a picture of the sanhedrin?
Nevuchadnezar Horosha, saw that they were Baalei Tzura. I guess they were also dressed the same & well dressed, where then would the Western judges get the idea of impressive dressing from.It is also mashma the misatef badin, I guess that means in taleisim. I supose these psuedo Sanhedrin [of 71? or 23?] where srugies to be misatef. On the otherhand I once read on VIN that Reb Moshe Halberstam of the Aida was on the Sanhedrin, I find it hard to believe, but I wouldn’t dare say anything against him chas veshalom.

The article claims that the problem withthe vaccine is that adjuvants have added.
It seems that the author misunderstood the situation, as I can be sure that the prof who testified did not make this mistake, given that she is an expert in virology.

Here is the Wikipedia entry on adjuvants
In pharmacology, adjuvants are drugs that have few or no pharmacological effects by themselves, but may increase the efficacy or potency of other drugs when given at the same time.

For instance, caffeine has minimal analgesic effect on its own, but may have an adjuvant effect when given with paracetamol (acetaminophen).

Yasher Koach to these Rabbonim. There is a lot of material out there showing that these vaccines are dangerous, with ingredients that have made many sick. There are a number of websites to go to. (IsraelTruthTimes.com) for instance and also ShiratDevorah.com. Read about what’s going on in Europe (Ukraine). HaShem y’rachem. Very upsetting. The world is in an upheaval. Before you comment, be informed instead of the stupid comments written above.

We have a proliferation of ehrleche yiddin who have inflated egos and deficient intellects running around EY with messianiac fantasies. First, last week, we had that real estate developer who claimed to be the chief fundraiser among evangelical christians to rebuild the beis hamikdash using contemporary building standards, with parking, advanced computer technology etc. and this week, we have this bunch of clowns who have appointed themselves as the new Sanhedrin issuing pasks on the safety of vaccines. Aside from the sheer apikorsus of it all, where are the legitimate rabbonim or are they too busy themselves issuing psaks on shabbos elevators. (which are apparently included in the new beis hamikdash).

You will see that the mainsteam media is not reporting it. Only the blogs are reporting it. Even the Jewish blogs are reporting it.

Don’t you people think for yourselves? Vaccinations, esp. for swine flu, are very dangerous. A lot of people, particularly the young and the elderly, died in the 70’s from the swine flu vaccination. Also, for anyone to belittle the Sanhedrin is a major aveira. Disparaging a talmid chacham is a terrible sin, and many sit on the Sanhedrin, including R’ Shteinsaltz. R’ Moshe Halberstam, zt”l, authorized the re-establishment of the Sanhedrin, and it also has the brochas of R’ Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, Rav Ovadia Yosef, and Rav Elyashiv.

Rabbi Dr. Aaron Glatt, an national expert in infectious diseases, among others, has recommended the swine flu (h1N1) vaccine. The risks from the vaccine are miniscule, apparently. In most situations, the risk of acquiring an infection is about 1/3 (i.e. 33%), and the risks of a serious complication are at least 1 – 10% (or about 0.33 – 3.3%), sometimes much higher, whereas the risks from a vaccine itself are on the order of 1 in 100,000 to 1 in 1,000,000 (0.001 to 0.0001%). It’s quite obvious that statistically taking a vaccine makes a lot of sense.

This also applies to the annual flu vaccine, which is DIFFERENT than the swine flu vaccine.

I have known of a case wherein a major rav in Eretz Israel died of complications from the flu.

    Why take the chance?

    Consult with your own doctor.

History does repeat itself. In Colonial America, Cotton Mather tried to convince millions of people to inoculate against the small pox because every religious preacher said it was against the bible, and that inoculations brought out the devils (medical reactions in some.) In Africa, tribal leaders constantly try to convince their populations to not accept Malaria treatments from the U.N./Red Cross because they think the “white man” is out to get them. And now this dangerous lunacy is seeping into our Jewish leaders who will use their authority to convince people not to get vaccines or future treatments.

This Sanhedrin is only and mainly formed to handle true Bnei Noach issues but nevertheless they are proper and toradik fine rabbis fully orthodox and competent, may their good works be librachah.
I suggest everyone should make his/her OWN true research about these vaccines and this life threatening grave matter today we all have a computer and don’t need to rely on some doctors who for most are just Parroting what the Pharmaceutical Companies are telling the Press.
Remember its only advice…. non binding!

The real joke is on the UN. Several Achronim have ruled that Jews are biologically different than non-Jews, Using Israeli Jews as guinea pigs/Mexicans to test the safety and or effectiveness of the swine/Mexican flu vaccine with adjuvant is a waste of vaccine and time. Whatever results may be true for Jews are not necessarily true for the rest of humanity,

The title and tenor of this post is very misleading. The statement of the Sanhedrin was not about all H1N1 vaccines, but related exclusively to the vaccine used in Europe (and Israel), which contains additives which are not used in the US. The Sanhedrin simply called on the Israeli government to provide its citizens access to the American vaccine, and not force people to take the European one.

There was, and is, no p’sak by the Sanhedrin on the subject at all. The closest thing to a p’sak was the following recommendation:

“The recommendation of the Sanhedrin’s Court, per this testimony and other data is as follows:

    * Every person should take personal responsibility for himself in the decision as to whether or not to be vaccinated against the Mexican Flu, and to that end consult with an authorized physician who can be trusted. In particular it is obligatory to do this if the Mexican Flu will spread.”

How is that anything but common sense?
    Cheers,
    Hillel

I’ve had my disagreements with him, but I think that in this regard Charlie Hall is probably the only person commenting here who can rightly be considered an authority. His opinion on this topic carries more weight for me than those expressed in the article.

Thimerosal is a mercury-containing preservative used in vaccines since the 30’s. In 2001, the US banned its use in all but influenza vaccines. Nearly all H1N1 vaccines contain this perservative, although some OBGYN clinics supply the preservative-free version to women as an additional safeguard. The Sanhedrin should recommend the latter formulation. The mercury content has been suggested to increase the risk of latent autism in those with a genetic predisposition.

Every day Americans wake up to news reports that warn us about the dangers of influenza, especially the new H1N1 “swine flu”.
But swine flu is mild for most people and the virus is not mutating into a more serious form.

Millions of people around the world have recovered from swine flu, and millions more will get sick with fevers, body aches, nasal congestion, cough and sometimes diarrhea and vomiting and recover from it this year and next year without any complications.

Nonetheless, wide-scale vaccination is being encouraged — even though swine flu vaccines have been tested on only a few thousand healthy Americans for a few weeks. There is little or no information about how safe the vaccine is for pregnant women and chronically ill or disabled children.
If you or your child are injured from getting a flu swine flu shot, you are on your own. Congress has shielded the vaccine manufacturers and any person giving swine flu shots from lawsuits if people get hurt.
There is no funded government vaccine injury compensation program for swine flu vaccine.
Do NOT let a doctor or anyone else tell you that a serious health problem you or your child experiences after vaccination is

Despite having trained at the NIH Immunology Division many years ago, as a medical student, I do not consider myself an expert on vaccines and immunology.

However, when true experts like Rabbi Aaron Glatt, MD, a spokesman for the largest academic society of infectious disease specialists and a recognized authority on infectious diseases, is in favor of a vaccine, that is something to which I pay attention. When experts I respect at the NIH recommend this or that vaccine, I pay attention. Is it possible that all the experts are wrong? It’s possible. Is it likely? Extremely unlikely, in my experience.

Is it possible that there are people out there who are conspiracy theorists, who see conspiracies wherever they look? You betcha.

As a neurologist, I have seen some devastating consequences for those who were not immunized and contracted measles, H. flu influenza, and other contagious diseases. Is it worth risking brain damage or death? Is it worth risking these in your children?

I am sure there will be some who disagree.

    Consult your doctor.
