Israel – Rabbinical Court Drops Emmanuel Case after Laloum Snub

    35

Yoav Laloum, the man who originally sued the school.Israel – The likelihood of a breakthrough in the Emmanuel case seemed meager on Monday afternoon as negotiations fell through for an agreement between the Hassidic parents and a foundation that strives for equality between Ashkenazim and Sephardim in the haredi school system.

Each side blamed the other for the failure of the talks, with the Rabbinical Court that had called for integration canceling a hearing on the matter after Yoav Laloum, the man who originally sued the school, failed to drop his case with the High Court as he was asked to do, (reported here on Vos Iz Neias).

Job Lalum doesn’t care about Beis Din, his agenda is secularist (he’s funded and aided by far left NIF and Akhoti organizations) and he needed the Beis Din to be used in the secular media.

Once R’ Levin has seen the spin he decided to suspend the Boreirus. Unfortunatly, it is too late, as the damage has been done. This man is a moser and needs to be excommunicated by the Beis Din right now and not a minute later.

You mean the poor (frum) Sephardi girls still can’t go to school with their Ashkenazi sisters because they still have the cooties or something?

We went through civil rights in the United States in the 1960’s.

I wonder if they let these girls drink from the same water fountains.

This case should be allowed to proceed through the court system and the consequences will be on the parents. First, the mothers should serve their terms in jail with appropriate consideration of any special needs for the children’s care. After they taste several weeks of jail food and separation from their yinglach, they may decide its more important to find some concensus that will allow them to send their children to school without a brick wall to separate them from chas va’chalilah talking with a little girl who was somewhat less frum.

As in this issue there is a consensus of opiniomn between all torah sages. Any poster sticking up for the side of the mosrim (calling them sfardim is misleading as there are ashkenazim in this group too-and the slonim faction has 30 percent sefardim)is very close to an apikoires!

Quotas does not equal equality. So those posting that a few sephardim are admitted to these yesivas and not making a convincing case. We should know, we were subject to the same quotas in US higher education (for those that know what that is).

I just want to present a moshul so we can understand this case.
    Moshul l’mo hadovor domei:
A city ,let’s call it RoboPark ,has a seventy percent Chassic population and a thirty percent litvish population. There is one community Bais Yakov run by a litvack from ,let’s say ,Hesenburst. The Litvack decides that the Hassidic havora with chirik shirik is a disgrace. Every one knows the Chassidim are on a lower level in chmash and Ramban, further the chasssidic kids bring six snacks a day and wear designer clothes. The Livack decides that the eiruv is chillil shabbos.
The litvacks then hire teachers from Henseburst with pedigree staight to Sora Shneirer.
They create two seperate tracks< one with a better curriculum ,better teachers etc, The Litvacks build a wall in the dining room and playground.
Any Chassid who wants to join the Litvishe tract has to sign a document to use traditonal Litvishe havora ,daven nusach Ashkenaz, not use the eiruv and daven before shkiah. They then must undego rigorous testing to ensure the can understand the Ramban and the Radak.
They can’t associate with any girls on the Chassidic track even relatives.
    There is no discrimination!!!

Chacham Ovadia has already told him about his Olam haboh, so I guess he feels like Acheir, & wants at least a good cheilek in Olam Hazeh. Therefore why Bet Din, it will not bring him money. His charity Noar [Sheloi] Kehalacha, gets donations, with this free advertisment, could you imagine the risk of capitulating to Bais Din, all those canceled checks & disputed credit cards. This guy has it made for life, or at least until the meches [tax] audit his business.
Imagine you were him, would you give up a life time security & stipend & go to Bet Din?
This guy isn’t from Emanuel, he is just using it to raise funds. He is from France & his father goes to Uman Rosh Hashona. Just curious I think most of Uman Chasidim are Sfardim, eventhough Chacham Ovadia spoke against going, is there any racism in Uman?
My message to you Yoav, Acheir went to gan Eden eventualy he had zechusim, even after what Chacham Ovadia said, I am telling you if you do tshuva you may not have such a great chance of acceptance here anymore, but you will get Oilam Haba. Ask Chacham Ovadia I am sure he agrees with me.

As a kid in school there was a boy in my class who got a turn of moving round the classroom, anyone whom he would sit next to would eventually bring a letter from his mother asking the Rebbi to change their son’s seat or his neighbour. [me included]. I must admit that as a bochur he unfortunatly had a rare bochurim problem & was unfortunatly expelled from yeshivos & banned from dormitories, althoughhe did get married & settle down, today he has a nice family.
Now was that racsism intolerance the Rebbi shouldn’t have listened the boys should have been forced to sit next to him. I guess however naive that generation was our mothers were not so stupid, his behavior although to us it was annoying to them it had more meaning.
Back to this story, mothers that don’t want their daughters in class with other girls, I am not convinced only sefardim, obviously know more than we do, did you notice this is agirls school problem only, how come the boys are ok?

This is a sad and painful (as well as a complex) situation for all involved. May I suggest one resolution could be to apply the Chabad approach. In this approach frum and less/non frum intergration (as this, not anti-Safard discrimination seems to be the most important issue) is combined with a serious attempt to bring these girls and their families closer to torah-true frumkite. I suspect that a Chabad school would welcome the opportunity to work with such families. In any case, (even without the Chabad option), at the end of the day, a strongly frum and supportive home environment (where frum values and expectations are clearly laid out) is the best way to protect our childern. Over time (no matter how hard we try) childern, teens and young adults will interact with others. We pray that their frum torah values will protect them as they become part of society at large.

This article is very brief. What the beid din really said was awful. They said lalum has no regard for rabbanim or a din torah. That he didn’t take his case out of court as he said he would! The beis din,in a sign of true integrity, said they relaize lalum was manipulating them for his own agenda. He was not at all seious trying to resolve this through a din torah.

“Besides who says that the Ashkanazik track has better teachers or curriculum?”

Lalum does, apparently. That’s why if he can’t have something, he wants to ruin it for everyone, just like the Nig***s in the States. He can’t send his daughters to a normal school as he’s a falloff shababnik and his wife dresses in poort Tznius, so he needs to ruin the purity of Chassidic schools. Disgusting.

Okay little sephardic children. Listen carefully.

The Rambam, The Ramban, The Rif, The Mechaber, The Or Hachayim Hakodesh and all the great Gedolim of the Sephardic heritage are wrong.

The only way you contaminated little girls can come near our shayna maidles is if you pretend to be ashkenasim.

Forget your heritage. Forget the musar avicha and the Toras Emecha.

Start to talk in Yiddish as if you were still in a 19 century shtetle and dress the way the Polish noblemen did.

Then you can come near our daughters.

    What a disgrace.

28 and 29 — thank you for your honesty. You demonstrate the falsity of the claim that this is not ethnic discrimination. Incidentally, my very wealthy Sephardi shul is planning to shut our doors to Ashkenazi tzedakah collectors — after all, our ways are just, well, different, and we ought not to support that which we look down upon with self-righteous regret. We respect you in theory, but in practice we don’t like how you dress, talk, or eat. We’ll keep it that way until Moshiach comes. God help you if he turns out to be Sepharadi.
