The Board is comprised of prominent Rabbonim, professionals, lay leaders, and philanthropists. They are HaRav Shimon Gertner, Dayan of Machon L’Hoyroa of Monsey, Rabbi Paysach Krohn, Rabbi Eliyahu Bergstein, Mr. Zvi Mordechai Feldheim, Mordechai Weinberger, LCSW, Mr. Yidel Lichtenstein, Mr. Joel Sabel, Mr. Boruch Miller, Fay P. Stern, Esq., Shaindy Zimmerman (learning disabilities specialist), Mrs. Chaya Wolhendler and Mrs. Rochel Wolf.
The newly formed Board held its first meeting to assess the most critical needs of community youth who are going off the derech and addressing the underlying cause of why this trend is unfortunately continuing. An emphasis was made to create broad based initiatives that will allow both for professional and halachic input to address each individual that comes into contact with B’Derech. It was decided that B’Derech will now be organizing weekly events that will be geared exclusively to the 18-25 yr old age bracket who will benefit greatly from B’Derech’s program in the realm of acquiring a GED, job training, hashkafa discussions and overall bask in an environment of positive reinforcement in connection with leading a proper frum and halachic lifestyle. Rabbi Bergstein has been one of the B’Derech advisors and lecturers, since its inception, said “As someone who works in Kiruv of Kerovim and Rechokim, it is clear to me, and I think it is increasingly clear to everyone, the necessity, importance, and even the urgency, of the B’Derech agenda.”
This program will be overseen by B’Derech’s Board of Directors comprised of the aforementioned individuals. According to B’Derech’s founder, Ruchie Freier, Esq., due to B’Derech’s success in addressing the 15-18 yr old population, B’Derech has identified the 18-25 yr old bracket as one that requires a customized set of programs and personal attention so that youth that are seeking answers through self-destructive behavior can remedy their lifestyle before it is too late. “B’Derech’s success has always been through the nexus of showing Yiddishkeit in a joyful, positive, loving, kind, happy atmosphere reinforced by positive, non-judgment and non-hypocritical attitudes towards Yiddishkeit and everyday life” says Ruchie Freier “these programs that we have brought to the public’s attention for the first time has now entered a new stage in our mission serving the community which will soon be announced through professionals and through the various programs that will be hosted.

Kol Hakavod!!!
kudos….thank you everyone….
I believe that Bderech can oly be succesful when yeshivas and girls school will STOP turning away kids from attending their classrooms. Most problem kids who loose their faith in hashem is because they were hurt deep down by being rejected from getting proper education and they loose every bit of self confidence and they only find relief by getting off the derech..
I wonder if this is the same Yidel Lichtenstein that does Pidyon shaviam for people that fall into deep problums with the goverment and he comes to there rescue even if he dosent know the family. If so. Kol Hakoved keep up your good work.
