Mayor Michael Bloomberg helped launch four new thrill rides Wednesday. They’re known collectively as the “Scream Zone.”

The rides operate alongside the Luna Park rides that opened last year.

They’re part of the city’s renewal plan. The amusement park by the Brooklyn boardwalk had fallen into disrepair over the years.

The city has contributed more than $6 million toward the cost of the new rides for Luna Park and Scream Zone.

The mayor predicts this summer will draw the biggest number of visitors to Coney Island in more than a half century.

I guess that its not safe to put my children on it 1 day after its opening, so I’ll have to look for somewhere else to take the kiddies.

Could the two yidden, Bloomberg and Markowitz have waited one more day to have opened the roller coaster ride? Do they have to publicly show how non-observant they are, by opening the ride on Yom Tov?
