Twenty-four year old Ben-Yosef Livnat, a father of four from Jerusalem – and Minister Limor Livnat’s nephew – was killed, and five others were wounded.

Palestinian sources reported local Palestinian youths gathered around the Tomb’s compound shortly after the incident and set it on fire.

A group of Palestinian youngsters rolled burning tires into the Tomb’s plaza, which was renovated only a few months ago.

A Palestinian source said black smoke towered over the gravesite, adding the sight was “reminiscent of the days of the Second Indifada.”

Palestinian fire fighters and police forces were called to the scene. No substantial damage was caused to the compound.

Palestinian security forces are now heavily deployed in the area to maintain order.

Minister Limor Livnat whose nephew Ben-Yosef Livnat was killed said that she was “shocked by the murderous terror attack”.

In a statement she revealed that her nephew’s soul aim was to pray ahead of the Passover holiday and he “was killed in cold blood in an abominable way”.

Hopefully by now they learned their lesson, albeit the heard way. There’s no mitzva of being Moser Nefesh to prayat Yosef Hatzadik’s kever, especialy when it’s possible to arrange such a visit with security forces from both sides.

Just wondering what would be the worlds reaction to a picture of jewish youth vandalizing a mosque?

One would think that after israeli security forces killed a palistinan who was suspected of carrying an explosive at josephs tomb, that’s when palistinan youths rioted and set the compound on fire. NO. After palistinans shot and killed a Israeli civilian, then pailistinan youths rioted and set the compound on fire. Mind boggling.
