New York, NY – Manhattan Borough President Scott ( Shmuel) Stringer and his wife Elyse Buxbaum (Hadassah) brought their son into the Jewish covenant as they celebrated this morning his bris that was officiated by Cantor Philip L. Sherman of the Orthodox Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue in NYC.
They named their son ” Aharon Matan” in memory of his illustrious grandfathers in the presence of close family and friends who wished Mr. Stringer and his wife “Mazel Tov” upon the birth of their new born son.
VIN News has received exclusive footage of the bris.
Mazel Tov to the Borough president Mr. Scott stringer and his family. May they rejoice in this and other simchas. It is so nice to see a prominent and high ranking official celebrate his Jewishness with pride. Unlike some other, less prominent individuals who are trying to hide the fact that they are Jews. Thank you, again, VIN for showing this clip.
Mazal Tov.
Mazel Tov. He’s a week old son, not a newborn, therefore the bris was today.
Mazal tov may you see much nachas from him.
Mazal tov, may they only have simchas. Yizku l’gadlo l’torah, l’chuppah, u’l’maasim tovim.
Mazel Tov. Like #1 wrote, it’s very refreshing to see a Jewish politician taking pride in his religion.
Asach Naches, and may he grow up to be a “nice Jewish boy”!
