Engelwood, NJ – The campaign of Republican congressional candidate Shmuley Boteach has received another boost from the Adelsons. Mr. Boteach is running against Congressman Bill Pascrell, an eight-term Democrat for the seat in a new district in northern New Jersey.

The Wall Street Journal writes (http://on.wsj.com/NC0itL) that Mr. Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson each gave $250,000 to a new independent super PAC called the Patriot Prosperity PAC which is backing Mr. Boteach.
In a statement, Mr. Boteach said, “I treasure the Adelsons’ support. They are among the most generous and sophisticated political donors in the country.” Mr. Boteach added that the $500,000 donation to the Patriot Prosperity PAC “is a game-changer, and I suspect there will be many more like it.”
The Adelsons have also donated $10 million to the Restore Our Future super PAC which supports Mitt Romney. Mr. Adelson has said he will contribute an additional $100 million to conservative candidates and organizations in an effort to defeat President Obama.
Shmuley will win the election! A huge kiddush hashem! Lots of Hatzlocha!
Yasher koach Mr.& Mrs. Adelson..Shmuley Boteach is certainly deserving of your support. He will be a wonderful representative of the people of his New Jersey district. Hashem should bless the Adelsons for their generous support of candidates who give us hope for the future.

The big problem Shmully is still facing is the 90% turnout in Paterson. He needs to convince real Americans to get out and vote, otherwise Sheldon’s millions won’t help him.
The say that money doesn’t necessarily buy happiness and hopefully it won’t buy this election either. Looks like a chilul Hashem with big bucks trying to shore up a small fry politician with a huge appetite for fame.
Another man who will stand on the stage at every rally talking about “morals” and “responsibility” while accepting half-a-million dollars from a man whose fortunes are made from gambling, hosting pornography conventions and offering prostitutes at his Macau hotels.
Now, prostitution is 100% legal in Macau, and we all know that all politicians take money that is as filthy as Adelson’s anyway.
BUT, I expect more from Shmuley Boteach. He COULD be the next generation of politician that truly represents good, decent, moral, hard-working and G-d fearing people. Instead, he has taken the same path of filth as the rest of them.
I guess I’m looking for a man of principle…. but they don’t run for office for some reason.
Even if Shmuley is going nowhere, the half million dollars will suck up at least 3 or 4 million DemoRat dollars in the region to keep Pascrel in office. Great move Sheldon. You’re a genious!
Boteach ran a charity in which 90% of donations went for “expenses,” including over $300,000 in “salaries” for Boteach and his cronies. It’s too bad this slathering of money to candidates is somehow legal, thanks to Citzens United. But Adelson will get his comeuppance very soon, and it won’t be pretty for those organizations and candidates which have fed at the Adelson trough.
