New York – With Halloween only two weeks away, police officers from Sunset Park’s 72nd Precinct are trying to prevent Halloween mischief by warning local grocery store and bodega owners not to sell eggs to teenagers.

“It’s been going on for decades. They want to have fun, and they run around and throw eggs,” Community Affairs Officer Dean Hanan told DNAinfo.com (http://bit.ly/WBu9Uy). “Sometimes they go a little overboard and it transitions from being a fun and harmless game to being a violent event.”
Merchants say they are already on the lookout for unfamiliar or suspicious teens that come to their shop looking to purchase eggs. “We use our discretion,” the manager at Key Food on Fifth Avenue said. “If I see a high school kid with eggs and if it’s Halloween, I won’t sell to them.”
Still, Sunset Park teens say they are not discouraged, and will eventually find a place to buy eggs or will simply take them from home. “Everybody got eggs at their crib,” one 17-year-old Sunset Park High School senior said.
Guess Sunset Park High School cut back on their English department budget…
sadly that english is acceptable nowadays. no wonder things are the way they are.
no more penmanship, cutting out cursive writing, who needs spelling -there is spell check and who needs to know how to do math coz everything has a calculator.
