Jerusalem – Arye Deri, one of the three chairmen of the Shas Party, on Monday night dispelled rumors he was considering joining a united Center-Left bloc to challenge Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

In statements posted to his Facebook page, Deri wrote that “Netanyahu does not need to be afraid, we [Shas] will recommend him as the next prime minister.”
Deri caused waves in an interview with The Jerusalem Post last Thursday, in which he called for a long-term interim agreement with the Palestinian Authority and said that “Shas is not Right or Left.”
In response, Likud MK Danny Dannon slammed Deri, saying “It must be clear to everyone that in the Shas leadership there are voices pushing the party to the Leftist bloc.”

No doubt he has lost the magic of his early years, and he really became a lefty, maybe jail did that to him, shas should not have takin him back, if he would have made his own party, shas would not have lost much
