Brooklyn, NY – Two veteran assistant district attorneys at the Brooklyn DA’s office were kicked out of the rackets bureau on Friday after demanding that rackets chief Michael Vecchione dismiss an extortion case against a chasidic Jew.

According to The New York Post, Vecchione ordered prosecutors Joseph Alexis and Nicholas Batsidis out of his office, insisting that they speak either to lame duck DA Charles Hynes or his first assistant district attorney, Amy Feinstein, when the two told Vecchione that their case against Sam Kellner should be dismissed due to a lack of evidence, according to a source in law enforcement. Kellner is accused of paying a young man to fabricate claims of sexual abuse against a Borough Park man.
Feinstein reassigned both men to the trials bureau.
During his campaign, then candidate Ken Thompson called the Kellner prosecution “a botched case” but according to Jerry Schmetterer, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office, Vecchione believes that the Kellner case has merit and should not be dismissed.
Kellner’s attorney, Niall MacGiollabhui, confirmed that the two prosecutors had been removed from the case, adding, “In the dying days of the Hynes administration, Vecchione has discarded the normal standards that govern prosecutions.”
Hopefully the new sheriff in town can restore some fairness in the system and punish ALL that were instrumental in this case both in and out of the DA’s office

Once again i will say ( while some of you cant face the facts), Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg has been yelling for the longest time that there is major corruption in the DA’s office and due to his effort, there is a new DA in the office ( i guess the scale with him against the world, ended up on top).
So far the end result has proven that every story he got involved with, he was on the right side of history, and while some cannot stand him, he is saving generations of young kids to grow up in a normal environment. We owe this man a load of thanks instead of pushing him away, but i don’t see anyone that has the guts to say, i was wrong and he was right.
Mr. Kellener was used as a pawn in order to whitewash the molester of his kids, and now the proof is in the pudding when the DA’s on the case say he is innocent, yet they dont want to let it go. I Guess Mr. Thompson will clean up Hynes’s mess he left there and Brroklynites will have a chance to be secure once again.
