As reported by the AFP (bit.ly/18eJEbK)The French scientists’ findings differ greatly from Swiss experts, who said just last month that their findings supported the suggestion that polonium poisoning killed Arafat.

Arafat died at a French military hospital near Paris on November 11, 2004. The cause of death was unknown – an autopsy was never performed, per his widow’s request.

France opened an official murder investigation into his death in August 2012, one month after an Al-Jazeera documentary associated his death with polonium poisoning.

Approximately 60 samples were taken from Arafat’s remains in November 2012. They were split between Swiss and Russian investigators, and a French team implemented an investigation at Arafat’s widow’s request.

The Swiss team said the test results were inconclusive in showing that polonium was the source of his death, however, they provided modest support for the idea of the poisoning from the highly radioactive element.

Let me get this straight. At the time of his death, Arafat’s widow wouldn’t allow an autopsy which would have established the cause of death but now she insists he was poisoned?

Swiss said results were inconclusive; the Russians said he was not poisoned; the French say that poisoning is ruled out – but somehow the Palestinian “Investigator” is almost about to name “someone” for something!
