Public Advocate Letitia James is unveiling the annual list of the city’s landlords who’ve been cited with the most housing violations.
The list includes nearly 6,800 buildings across the city. Many of those buildings have no heat or conditions hazardous to residents.
James, a Democrat who took office in January, said many of the tenants of those buildings are poor and have no means to fight landlords in court.
Brooklyn is home to the buildings with the most violations, followed by Manhattan and the Bronx.
The list was created in 2010 by then-Public Advocate Bill de Blasio. De Blasio was elected mayor last November.
