According to the New York Post (http://bit.ly/1JngCGS), Thompson obtained a guilty plea or indicted 32 percent of felony charges in 2014, 10 percent less than former DA Charles Hynes’s last two years in the position. His average was 42 percent.

Hynes indicted 5,203 cases in 2013, while Thompson indicted 3,580 in 2014.

During January and February of 2015, numbers were lower than 2014, dropping 29 percent, lower than the citywide average of 36.9 percent.

The drop in numbers could signal Thompson’s lenient treatment of criminals involved in felony crimes.

Thompson’s office also had 33 percent of cases dismissed, the highest in boroughs except the Bronx.
