Brooklyn, NY – A 10 year old Chasidic boy walking home last night became the subject of a bias crime after being shoved to the ground by an unknown attacker who said “I hate Jews.”

Police said that the incident took place at 8:10 Sunday night in front of 165 Harrison Avenue, a five story residential building between Walton and Wallabout Streets.
According to the NYPD, the boy was approached by an individual who pushed and kicked him to the ground. Once the child was on the sidewalk, his attacker kicked him again in the left leg and said “give me your money” in addition to verbally expressing his hatred for Jews.
According to the Daily News (http://nydn.us/2yCp4XX), the victim did not give any money to the suspect, who left the scene on a scooter. He is described as an 18 year old black male, with a short bangs who was wearing a blue sweatshirt and carrying a black bag at the time of the attack.
The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
