Footage emerged on Monday in which Razel is seen performing at a recent concert with black tape stuck across his eyes as he continues to sing and play the keyboard, so as to avoid looking at women dancing close to the stage as he played.

Jewish law prohibits men from watching women dance since it may sexually arouse them, so Razel came up with his innovative solution to keep his sexual desires firmly in check.

A formal response to the footage for the singer read “Yontan Razel’s face was uncovered for the entire performance. The part in which he is seen with his eyes covered happened for mere minutes, when women formed dance circles at the foot of the stage. This was his personal decision so as not to remain with uncovered eyes in front of the dancing women. Afterwards, he removed the covering and continued to perform.”

what a chillul charedi. this is extreme, taliban styled, bizarre that he randomly carries a masking tape around and an embarrassment to klal. it is no wonder that chilonim detest charedim
but let me get this straight, he removed it once they stopped dancing. and how, without looking, was he supposed to know when they did??

Yasher koach.Since when is it ok halchically for women to dance in public? Since Jews started trying to replace Torah with western “values”? No. It’s never been ok and it never will be. The Torah never changes. He did the right thing– and he’s very righteous because he did it even though he knew he’d get mocked for it in our low generation. Pleasing Hashem is obviously more important to him than pleasing goyim and Jews who want to be goyim. We need more Jewish men like him. Isis /Iran are at our door here in Israel… and everywhere else in the world… and we Jews are busy mocking a Jewish man who guards his eyes the way Hashem tells men to? Are we all laughing like its one big joke? Wake up, drop the western foolishness, do teshuva and take Hashem’s laws seriously, before terrible tragedy befalls us. G-d help us all.
