“The anti-Semitic video from the Rockland County GOP is deeply disturbing,” she tweeted. “They must remove & condemn it. Saying that members of the Jewish community are a threat to families, our safety & that they must be stopped is despicable.”

How was that video anti-semitic? I’m a Jew and I saw nothing wrong with it.

There is nothing anti-semetic about this video. It’s true. I grew up in Monsey and the town is destroyed. Even ask other Chassidim who grew up there. St. Lawrence started it and now it’s being continued. What was a nice town has become overdeveloped and dirty.

Agree on comments regarding the redesign. Hate it and will need to look for another source to get my news information. Maybe what’s app status is the new way? (If not broken don’t gix/change) time to make the move.

Thanks for the past few years

I agree with the video. Anyone driving down route 306 will be better off with a golf cart soon. The only thing New York City has over us is a subway.
Overdevelopment, Yes. High taxes, Yes. Traffic, Yes. Lack of parks, Yes.

There is nothing anti-semitic about that. Sounds like she is just playing politics.

Let’s just say what is the REAL truth here. Politics in America and the current government (not trump in particular, I’m not against him but not sure about him) stinks and wreaks worse than public bathrooms. This has caused havoc all over, whether it’s anti semitism, and normal civilians, pro gun use… say whatever… politics is a goner and a total destroyer.

Worldwide Anti-Semitism on the rise including U.S. and Europe according to many sources. Recent Synagogue mass shootings; Pittsburgh 2017 (11 killed), Pomway, California 2019 (1 killed). Trump Republican incitement of fear may place Rockland County on that list through its campaign to win legislative seats by any means necessary. Republicans overstate the importance of Legislative district apportionment given the Towns and Villages regulate land use not the County.

It’s disgustingly antisemitic. All the anti-Semites starting with Goebbels knew that you do not have to spell it out in words. Just make pictures of Jews with big hooked noses, thick glasses, and menacing poses, add scary music, and speak about the end life as we know it if “they” take over. That is what they did here; no more, no less. It is a disgrace. Unfortunately, this is the new norm under right-wing republican media. All frum Jews celebrate Trump because he is good for Israel, but when you spread venom about Hispanics and blacks and immigrants, tomorrow they do the same against Chassidic Jews, and then against all Jews – once the political benefit of supporting Israel is no longer there, we are next in line.

It’s not like it used to be but Monsey is still a very nice and safe area to live.
This video and these people are anti semitic from day one. The video shows their true colors and there ugly.

Of course it’s anti Semitic. First of all they are ignorant as they make it look like these people will destroy their community. Instead of thanking them that the real estate will increase . Second what’s with the picture of that perfect family with one or two kids. The Hasidic May have more kids but what makes them less perfect. Are they law abiding citizens. Do they bring crime into the area. Are you afraid to walk the street at night. Do they bring drugs into the area. What is it that they oppose these about peaceful people who mind they’re own. I will tell you what. The same that bothered the Europeans during WW2 who took part in the killing of six million .

There is some truth to the over development. I remember Monsey in the ’80s and it was much more suburban than it is today. However, that video is definitely thinly veiled anti semitism making the WASPish looking family better with their 2 kids. It could’ve been done without bringing up all the anti Jewish stereotypes. Boro Park also used to be much less crowded in the ’60s where I grew up. Most of those non chasidic Jews moved to Faltbush and Lakewood and elsewhere less crowded.

Regardless of whether you think the video is anti-semitic, there is some truth to complaints about 306. It’s not the number of homes or the style of the homes. It is that the zoning board let the developers build too close to 306. That’s not the fault of the homeowners. It’s the fault of the developers (who are in it solely for the money) and the zoning board. I’m a frum Jew; most would call me chareidi. I love Jews. I grew up out of town, surrounded by goyim. I’m all for “the more the merrier” but there need to be sane limits on development. I wouldn’t mind a 20 story apartment, but not close to the street. And development very close to 306 doesn’t seem to have stopped. It looks, although I cannot condemn it until I see it, that the development at Blueberry Hill will be very close to 306. Quite frankly, I drive all the way around, not to hit a child accidentally where they play right next to 306.

Everyone in Monsey complains about the overdevelopment. It now takes 20-30 minutes across town. Try shopping for shabbos.
However, if the gentiles complain about it, they are anti-Semitic. I myself was told in shul by some chassidisha guys when discussing this problem “if you don’t like it sell your home and move” That is the attitude of the new comers.
We came out here not to live like Boro Park, and the new people that come have no regard for those that lived here for many years. We are very happy more and more Yidden are coming, but they have to conform and live as the community lived all these years. Spread out to New city, Clarkstown etc. but please don’t ruin our way of life.
We Yidden all hate what they did and complain about it. Look at how a goy looks at what happened to Monsey – why can’t he at least defend his way of life? The irony is we destroy their neighborhoods, paid-off the politicians and if they say something about it – we hide behind cliaming Anti-Semites.

AG James wants to talk about anti-Semitism have her start with the hateful black thugs that prey on old Jews, yesterday an old Jewish man was beaten over the head with a rock, while being called terrible names
Same day old woman with a cane in Queens crossing the street , a group of black teen thugs knocked her down, robbed her, and beat her with her own cane
