LAKEWOOD (VINnews) — A man in posession of 3 handguns and a knife was arrested in Lakewood on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the man was attempting to sell the weapons in his possession to people at a local self-serve car wash.
The man has been identified as Arturo Cuahutle-Flores, 47,of Lakewood.
The incident took place on Park Ave, next door to Bais Faiga girls school.
Police were called at approximately 4 PM, after Cuahutle-Flores approached an individual to try to sell him the weapons.
According to Lakewood Police Chief Gregory Meyer, Cuahutle-Flores became “noncompliant and evasive” when he was approached by Lakewood police officers. The police officers then used what Meyer referred to as “immediate, necessary force” to subdue Cuahutle-Flores.
Cuahutle-Flores was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood to be treated for injuries he suffered during his arrest. The police officers were not injured in the scuffle.
Cuahutle-Flores was charged with four counts of unlawful possession of weapon and four counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
According to Police Chief Meyer, there are additional charges pending.
