Pressures when Preparing for a Party

    0

Feasts and parties are all around. It does not choose a season nor weather. Whether it’s warm or cold, invitations are everywhere. Sometimes, aside from being not interested, the attire is one of the whys and wherefores you don’t want to join the party. Believe it or not! There will always be the thought and feeling of “I do not fit in it” “I do not have something to wear” or “My clothes are old-fashioned, not a match to the party.”

Apart from the thought that the apparel in your wardrobe is deemed old or not usable, there could be a lot of reasons why it is difficult to have the clothes for such events.

    Budget

I once heard from a friend saying that her income is always spent on dresses. Having a lot of awarding ceremonies, group activities, and company get-togethers, she has to pay a lot of dollars buying offbeat dresses for each of the events. With expensive dresses, it is seldom frustrating having a lot of activities or gatherings in and outside work. To ease this kind of dilemma, a solution would be purchasing second-hand dresses from thrift stores. This is an option especially if you are someone who wants to wear the dress just once since you do not want to use it on the next party (because you do not have much confidence and you are thinking your friends will laugh at you for wearing the same attire on different parties). Meanwhile, there are also online stores that sell budget-friendly party dresses such as prom dresses, cocktail dresses, and semi-formal dresses. Aside from being reasonably priced, they are also brand new or made to order. JJ’s House, for example, offers dresses at an economical price. You might be wondering about the quality of why the costs are cheap; meanwhile, if you are contemplating it, you can go through the reviews of the website or ask your friends about it or maybe choose to get a sample dress to check on the quality.

    Size

I know how it feels. Being a plus is somehow stressful when it comes to clothing. For someone who does not have enough self-confidence and scared of being laughed at, she will just pass on any event and stay home. We cannot deny the fact that most often than not, plus size is difficult to find. Regardless of how more limited you eat or how much you go to the gym; you can still feel there has been no change in size. Sometimes, you blame your DNA but most of the time, you blame how good the food is and just end up telling yourself that you are really born to be a plus.

There are some stores, physical or online, that offer plus size cocktail dresses and custom size party dresses and they are even excellent for any occasion. If a plus size is not for you then you can choose the custom size. You choose that gorgeous dress you are in love with, provide your measurements then the store prepares it for you.

    Style

Of course, you wanted the trendiest and the most breathtaking dress for the party. Every girl wants to stand out at the party. If looks cannot make it alone, having the perfect dress would help you put your best foot forward.

There are different silhouettes that could complement one’s curves. A-line silhouette could be one of the safest styles. It may be closefitting on top but it widens from the waistline. It does not completely hug your body which means if you are so conscious about your middle part and hips, then you can pick this style. Empire silhouette is also a safe one. Normally this is recommended for women who wanted to hide their belly part as this style is tight only on the bust area. This is, however, the most recommended style for those pregnant women who attend parties or events. Mermaid/trumpet style is a figure-hugging silhouette, which is best worn by women who are confident enough with their hourglass figure. The sheath/column style is almost the same as the mermaid style. It is closefitting and figure-hugging.

    Time

Determining the ideal party or formal dress is extremely time-consuming. Having 5 workdays in a week, you have the option to go out and look for a dress on your days off. It could also be challenging if you are trying to beat the time, especially if you were just informed with short notice. The worst-case would be purchasing something that simply fits the party, not what you genuinely wanted. With the schedule, you can choose to browse online stores rather going to physical shops. Online stores usually have a better and comprehensive variety of apparel. The only predicament, I reckon, is you won’t be able to touch it or try it on. It will be risky on your side. Meanwhile, you can review the surveys and feedback of the store before advancing with the online shopping. In this way, you do not need to use your off days going to physical stores and find the best dress suitable.

The above is accordingly some of the most sensitive issues one faces when there’s a celebration. Savor every moment of the party especially if it is the first time you are attending one. It could be your unforgettable revelry. Most often than not, it could be the first and last or it could be the beginning and looking forward to more of it so have fun.
