“The rabbis of the city and leading poskim are crying out: Stop trying to be smart with minyanim of more than 10 people, keep distances between one another.”

Rubinstein’s appeal come’s after Israel suffered its worst week since the outbreak of the coronavirus, with cases spiking nationally from 1000 to over 3000 and for the first time 12 people have succumbed to the deadly virus.

On Friday a 73-year-old Haifa resident died at the Rambam hospital in Haifa. The man who had previous health conditions was transferred this week to hospital but his condition deteriorated until his passing Friday.

“Stop trying to be smart with minyanim of more than 10 people, keep distances between one another.”

Notice they are not saying no minyan? They are saying keep it to exactly 10, and keep distances. Why must we in America be more stringent than the experts in EY
